016 VIDEO LIST SEVEN
Jan. 6th, 2013 09:34 pm[First shot: a miniature black and white police car, complete with tiny siren, set on the hallway floor (with the toe of a shoe next to it for scale). The shoe shuffles back, as does the focus, and suddenly the car is tiny in the distance. Beatrix begins to speak, and the feed never centers on her but stays focused on the little vehicle.]
I'm trying not to go outside too much in case I step on anyone. A lot of you are getting around on pets or other people, which is a big relief, but if anyone is without a means of transport I've got this set of wheels.
This little guy – [and the camera swerves wildly downward, there's a sound of fumbling with plastic, a switch turning, and it straightens up to show the car hovering a few inches off the ground] is battery-operated and ready to drive off the lot. If you need it, tell me where you are and I'll make my way to you on tiptoe.
Only condition is, I need it back after the flood. It's, uh, not mine. [And a view of a very happy hamster, squirming his way through a maze of tubes.] It's Spud's.
