So this hellhole is finally dying, and the wardens are losing their seat of power. They're talking about the futility of attempting to overthrow the sadistic dictator who pats their asses for tearing apart the innocent. They expect us to fear death and to cower before them and beg to be saved from what they can't protect themselves from.

This is not the time to rely on wardens. They have more to lose than we do; all we have are our lives, and those are forfeit anyway.

I'm not going to give up fighting. I'm going to keep killing them until I'm dead and this fucking boat is as lifeless as I am. They don't deserve our surrender, not now -- we have nothing to gain from giving in to them, and everything to lose.

Resist them. Don't listen to their lies.

Kill your warden.

(OOC: So Beatrix is an inmate and affected, obviously. She's very very close to graduation and probably would be there already if she didn't hate the idea and fight against it. Wardens, she's likely to attack you and do her best to torture/murder you BECAUSE YOU DESERVE IT; inmates, she's likely to try to protect you with everything she's got because YOU ALSO DESERVE IT.)

[She's in her cell-like cabin, usually the safest place to go in order to escape wardens. But Arthas has long been a special case, and Bea shields her face from the blast of hot air in disgust. The cold starts to spread and she can all but feel it running through her nerves, freezing them like flesh on metal. Now she's shivering harder, an uncontrolled tremor that owes something to fear but more to anger.]

Unsporting once again, Arthas? I'm not surprised.

[He strides through the death-gate, white fire licking at his boots.]

I prefer "my king."

[The pain doubles as he raises his hand, focuses itself to sharpness as black lightning crackles between his gloves.]

[He never gets tired of the theatrics, does he? As the pain grows a rather hysterical laugh bubbles up in her, the sound ugly through the grimace on her face.]

[The lightning jumps from his hands, utterly silent, to light up her nerve endings with pain.]

[It's like being tasered or touched with a live wire, like slicing through a power line but worse. This sears from inside her own body and she hates it - not the pain, but the fact that he can bring it out in her so easily. That he no longer even has to work to make her suffer.

Her teeth are gritted so tight her jaw aches, but she barely notices it or her own unsteadiness. That pain should be white-hot and should burn. Instead it chills her from the inside out.]
